Hi, I’m working on a short 4 episodes drama called Wagemon.
I’m aware that someone else has already claimed this drama, but I was really intrigued by this drama, I wanted to understand. I was totally clueless when I watched it raw. Thus, with the encouragement from a couple of friends, I tried to sub it. I’m subbing the whole episodes from scratch myself, without any reference to the other version. If anyone finds any similarity, it’s purely coincidence.
I have no intention at all to be disrespectful, so I will only release the subs here in my blog in hardsub. No softsubs will be posted for this drama, because I’m doing it purely for myself and a close circle of friends.

Synopsis
Nagasaki became an international city during the Edo period with many Westerners coming back and forth for trades. The interpreters, were a group of professionals needed for negotiations as well as to gather information.
In the 2nd year of Kaei (1849), a young man called Ijima Sota arrived at Nagasaki from Edo to pursue the mystery of his father’s disappearance. Sota, who has a great sense of curiosity, was studying English at a cram school and accidentally came across a secret of his father. He, with the help of his friends, decided to come with a plan to find out the truth.
