“A disappearing castaway”
Episode 2 of Wagemon is done!
The story gets more interesting as it continues to combine real historical events with fictional plot.
Sota and the others helps Kai flee Japan, but there’s a stranger who poses as him and joins the castaways. Who is him and what is he after?
Kozu-sensei sparks suspicions from the Nagasaki doshin that he ends up becoming a crime suspect. What is he hiding?
Moriyama starts feeling anxious about Japan’s bilateral relation with the Dutch, but as an interpreter he shouldn’t voice out his opinion. A word from Ranald MacDonald, his English teacher, lights a fire in him.
This episode is such a packed one with so many events going on. The conflict is different from the first episode, which keeps me at the edge of my seat until the end.
Although the translation notes from the first episode should cover the events in this episode, I added some terms to the translation notes here.
